Fudge Update

Spent 11 hours at the school on Saturday supervising the Fudge Sale. Another three hours on Sunday to make sure that the clean-up was thorough and to be there with others to help with the distribution. Had the kids call homes to remind people to come ... we ended up with only two people who never came (heh, heh, their bags went into the Band Room, where Mr. Z will see them...) . We had 1491 boxes of fudge orders, made about 120 extras to sell at the Holiday Concert and for those who smelled the fudge being made at the play and are calling to get some.

Boy, I am TIRED! Standing that long wasn't good for my back or knee. I went to bed early last night, stayed home today and SLEPT. Still tired. Argh.

Oh, wait, I forgot. Yesterday when I was done with the Fudge stuff, I had a Girl Scout Service Unit meeting. Then I had to go to church to finish the church newsletter. And naturally there were technical difficulties surrounding that (after months and months of no problems, NATurally I couldn't have just one more time of ease, oh, no).

Chatham had a good weekend. We couldn't remember when he last had a BM, so we fed him pumpkin (for the fiber, ya see) and he finally produced a couple of small, hard BMs (don't ya just LOVE this?). He seemed perkier after that. Can't believe that he ate canned pumpkin.

Today he produced a WHOLE LOT MORE little poops. Wore himself out doing it, too. Lay right down in his litter box, the poor thing was so tired. I did take him to the vet today for a check up. The substitute

Vet was there - Dr. Henry just LOVEs Chatham. She felt him up - no more poops inside - felt his hips and back legs (he often holds one at an odd angle) and proclaimed that everything was in the proper place, just old age stuff going on. Keep up the good work. She praised him, even when he was acting up - who'da thunk that a 19 year old cat would cause so much trouble? She had to get April in to help hold him while she was examining him.

So, that's it for now. No one in our house has a meeting or rehearsal tonight.

UNbelievable.

Fudge and Chatham's BMs. There's a joke in there somewhere.

I hear ya, Fred. Cancel my order.

Good to hear Chatham is doing better and you're in unless you volunteered for something since you posted.

Good to hear your old cat can still poop. Pooping is important. I get mighty cranky when I cant go.

Golly, I think you need something to do with your "extra" time. Wanna go to a Tupperware party?

Congrats on the success of the fudge party! It's great when hard work pays off.
And I'm happy for Chatham to have had some relief:)

That's quite a lot of fudge action.

I'm glad Chatham is better! Poor kitty.

All that fudge...you keep that up, 3D, and you'll be giving the candyman of the north a run for his money! ;)

Glad you've found some relief from the hussle bussle, though. Speaking of, congrats on being this weeks WPW Inspirational Blogger, 3D!

Happy Thanksgiving, dear 3D! glad to know this will be a "quiet" day for you all... hope it's full of joy, love, and naps.

i also hope Chatham will continue to be "productive" (man, i'm impressed he actually ate canned pumpkin, there's no way our old cat would even *think* about doing that!) stay well! xox
