Grounghog Day

Here we are once again, Pennsylvania on Groundhog Day. PA has several Groundhogs that foretell whether or not Spring is just around the corner. This morning Punxsutawney Phil (after a long-winded poem/speech) saw his shadow ... so we'll have six more weeks of Winter (YEA! yipped Kiddie B).

Besides Punxsutawney Phil, there is Dover Doug (Dover, PA), and Poor Richard (somewhere in York County, PA), Octorara Orphie (Quarryville, PA).

If you REALLY want to know about this day (which is also known as Candlemas), go here.

There's Phil, lookin' mighty chipper.
I'm still looking for the book with a panda on it (the one that eats shoots, and leaves, hehe)--but haven't found it, yet. I did find a mondo New Yorker cartoon book w/ cds that I think you'd enjoy.
Hope you had a great Groundhog Day!
