My (other) Kid is Wednesday Guest
"Baby A", aka Bookworm, aka Tok'ra, aka ... is Doug's Guest Blogger today. So go read.
I know that some of you have been confused by the Pez Family and all the names we use. (I posted an explanation a while back, but I can't find it now.) Basically, AP3 gave us all Pez names. Goa'uld gave us Stargate names. And some of us gave ourselves our own names. I'll make a diagram sometime, okay?
Yesterday was very hot and today might be hotter. The local paper had an article about band camps and how the kids were out in it. The photographer and reporter were out at my Kids' band (Goa'uld's photo is in the paper), mostly. Unfortunately, the article was a bit negative, with a good bit of it dedicated to how kids get sick from it (naturally they talked to the one girl that keeps NOT eating breakfast and then she vomits ... grrr).
The photo is from my van - I know that vehicle thermometers aren't accurate, but it was scary to see, nevertheless. The weather guy just reported that today's heat index is expected to reach 112 degrees F.

Bookworm did a great job! you must be very proud, and rightly so.
yeah... this heat is something else. fortunately, the "wave" shouldn't last too much longer (assuming those folks at the weather channel know what the heck they're talkin' about) xox neva
I agree with Neva. May God bless and protect the 10-word poster.
Our heat wave just broke this weekend. Until then, every day in July Santa Clarita passed 104. I'd be afraid of accidentally drinking my trumpet.
Goa'uld's pix in the paper is a good one.
Yep, it's HOT.
It is funny how anorexic children seem so unsturdy. Is there a doctor in the house to explain it?
Just a reminder that Goa'uld is not baby or kiddie B. (This has been making me nervous all day)
President Bush would like to remind you that all the "global warming" stuff is just the ramblings of smarty-pants scientists who do too much book learning and not enough video game playing.
What I want to know is: Is this heat good for the kudzu? I am getting worried about it....
We finally got some relief last night when a thunderstorm moved through. Hope it cools off for you soon!
Great picture!
Best wishes!
Heck, we only hit 91 today. Keep cool!
Where is Major Carter in all this?
