Up and Down
This was a reading at my church last Sunday, I really like it:
Thirty spokes share the wheel's hub;
It is the centre hold that makes it useful;
Shape clay into a vessel;
It is the space within that makes it useful;
Cut doors and windows for a room;
It is the holes which make it useful;
Therefore profit comes from what is there;
Usefulness from what is not there.
Lao-Tse
And this is a song that our congregation sings every week as sung by our church's choir, The Unisingers: Spirit of Life

Call Center life is at the depressing stage - we're out of so many things (or they're backordered until after the holidays) that we're almost keeping track of how many times we say "sorry that's gone, sorry that's sold out, sorry we don't have that either..."
The most interesting street name today was Lick River Road. Like the Mud Lick Road that I mentioned earlier, this street is in Virginia. Does it have anything to do with why Virginia is for Lovers?

Oh, that's funny, Dddragon.
Well, I met someone here in Virginia whose last name is Lickers, so I'm thinking you might be on to something. Notice how I so deftly sidestepped your insinuation. ;)
Nice. You're in church first, then step right out into a mud hole.
The Tao Te Ching has a lot of really good stuff in it. That's a great excerpt.
That is a neat poem. Very true.
I guess you could just start saying, "Snooze, you lose!" to all your customers.
Beautiful reading, which resonates with such truth.
Now, I could go down my own street with Lick River Road, but the journey might be unwise! Very cute.

Great reading, for sure. The choir sounds absolutely great.
I wonder why mfrs. can't see this coming and be geared up to fill a void when they find they got a hottie on their hands. No fun for you, getting to say "No" all the time.
(Pretty song, ddd.
thanks.)
